Monjoh’s Chilli Sauce – Hot
Our hot chilli sauces are manufactured using Habanero chillies. The habanero chili comes from the Amazon, from which it was spread, reaching Mexico. The habanero is named after the Cuban city of La Habana. Most habaneros rate between 200,000 and 300,000 on the Scoville scale
The habanero's heat, flavour and floral aroma will make The Monjoh’s Sauces a popular ingredient in spicy foods. The heat of the habanero does not immediately take effect, but sets in over a period of a few minutes and lasts up to an hour in the mouth. The heat can sometimes be felt in the esophagus some hours after consumption. Habanero’s are sweet and floral, and adds an apricot, pear, and apple flavour to our Monjoh’s hot sauce
